Before Your Patient Visit
Once your appointment is scheduled, we will register you in our Patient Portal. Here, you’ll fill out important details about your current and past medical history and this will be reviewed prior to your first visit.

What to Expect on Your First Visit
The first office visit generally consists of taking a comprehensive medical history and a physical exam. The visit generally lasts 60- 90 minutes. Please be sure to leave enough time in your schedule for us to complete this process.

In most cases, a referral is not required. It’s always a good idea to call ahead to your insurance company to assess whether a referral is required.
We will do a courtesy insurance billing on your behalf for out-of-network plans. In all out-of-network plans, however, payment for the visit is required on the date of service.
Nutritional supplements are rarely covered by insurance plans as medicine. Some cafeteria plans and HSA plans may be used to cover the costs of the nutritional supplements in some cases.
Not always. Coverage for labs and diagnostic procedures varies widely with your health insurance plan. We always alert you when we know that a recommended test is out-of-network and/or may require out-of-pocket expense for you.
Our first visit generally lasts between 60-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your concerns. We spend time discussing any immediate health concerns, family and personal medical history, as well as discussing lifestyle factors and your personal challenges and health goals in depth. We also do a targeted physical exam to get a baseline evaluation of your health status at the start of our work together.

Most prescription medications should be managed by your primary care or other specialty providers. While we do occasionally recommend pharmaceuticals, our key focus is on offering natural medine, nutritional, and lifestyle support.
No. Medication management is typically done through your prescribing doctors. We are always mindful about carefully complementing your current treatment plans and helping to restore your health with naturopathic modalities.
